Yellow Dolomite is a natural marble composed of metamorphic calcium carbonate crystals. During sedimentation and subsequent solidification, part of the calcium was replaced by magnesium, forming dolomite.

This mineral composition results in a stone that is slightly softer than pure marble and cannot be polished to a high-gloss finish, but it offers improved resistance to acidic conditions.

The original sediment consisted of very fine mud, giving Yellow Dolomite its fine-grained structure. As a result, the stone has very low porosity and permeability, enhancing its durability and making it suitable for use in wet environments. Under normal conditions, the stone is also resistant to fungal growth.

Yellow Dolomite is most commonly supplied with a sanded finish, which provides a natural texture and slip resistance. Typical applications include terraces and swimming pool areas, where its soft color and functional performance create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

In addition to Yellow Dolomite, White Dolomite is often finished honed and used for flooring and wall cladding, offering a refined and elegant appearance for interior and exterior architectural applications.
