Material & Design Details
Cordoba is a white crystalline positioned on the borderline between limestone and marble, formed from carbonate crystal sediments deposited in relatively cold, deep seawater. This unique sedimentation process, followed by lithification, prevented the incorporation of magnesium into the crystal structure.
During later compaction, water was expelled without the percolation of chemical elements such as magnesium, manganese, or iron. As a result, the stone remains exceptionally pure, which is clearly visible in its clean appearance and the absence of pink, red, brown, or black veining commonly found in other stones.
The tiles consist almost entirely of pure calcium carbonate crystals, giving Cordoba outstanding stability under strong ultraviolet exposure. Yellowing or discoloration over time is therefore nearly non-existent, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications in high-light environments.
Cordoba is recommended for a wide range of uses, including flooring, wall cladding, water features, and swimming pool tiles. When polished, the stone exhibits strong light reflection; therefore, for outdoor terrace applications, a sanded finish is advised to reduce glare while maintaining a refined and elegant appearance.
Combining geological purity, durability, and timeless aesthetics, Cordoba is an excellent choice for architectural projects requiring a clean white stone with long-term color stability.
